Frequently asked
questions about Quran and Etrat Internet University
- When has the university been started?
The program has been started from September 2003. The first series of courses
were offered in Farsi language in October 2003. English courses have been
offered since February 2004.
- What is the level of courses and who is the university for?
The basic program is the first program of Quran and Etrat Internet University.
This program includes basic information and courses abut Islam according to the
teachings of Quran and Etrat. The program is useful for those Muslims who didn’t
have academic background in Islamic education or for non-Muslims who are
interested in knowing Islam.
- How long does the basic program take?
The basic program requires completing 80 credits which takes about 6-8
semesters.
- What is the language of lessons and the university?
From February 2004, the courses are presented in English. Currently, only
English program is active and even Farsi program has been stopped.
- How much is the registration fee?
Please refer to University regulations. University
is still offering the courses free of charge.
- What will be the recourses (books, notes and …) for the courses and where and
how should be bought?
All of the required material will be made available through Internet for Quran
and Etrat students.
- Is there any certificate upon finishing the program?
Quran and Etrat Internet University will issue the certificate for students who
successfully pass the required amount of courses in the university.
- Is there any way to change our course registrations?
Yes, after about 3-4 weeks from the semester, the drop-add period starts and you may change your courses.
All grades above 60 out of 100 are considered as “pass” grade.
- Could we communicate directly and live with the professors?
The main communication tool is through learning management system. However, an
instructor may establish a chat
session for his/her course.
- Do we need to enter correct information in our registration form?
Yes, the student’s information should be correct so the university could
communicate with the student or issue the certificate for him/her.
